Free Online Screen Recorder — No Extension Needed
Record your screen directly in your browser. No extension, no upload. Download as WebM or MP4. Works on Chrome, Edge, Firefox.
What is Screen Recorder?
The Pix2Doc Screen Recorder captures your screen, a specific application window, or a browser tab directly in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox—no browser extension required. It uses the browser's built-in 'MediaRecorder' and 'getDisplayMedia' APIs, which means the recording is captured and stored entirely in your browser's memory. System audio is captured automatically where supported. You can optionally include your microphone as well. Recordings are saved as WebM files and can optionally be converted to MP4 using FFmpeg WASM (loaded on demand).
Common Use Cases
- Recording a software tutorial or walkthrough to share with a team
- Capturing a bug reproduction for a developer
- Recording an online meeting or video call for later reference
- Creating demo videos without installing OBS or screen recording software
